To: MUSIC.DIS[DOC,MUS]:;
Upon request by MUZ, the default for output is TEST.SND/BYTESIZE=12/SOUND.
The default output specification is contained in a string variable called
OUTSPEC (try doing PRINT OUTSPEC;) and can be changed by an assignment
such as OUTSPEC←"MUSAA.DMD/BYTESIZE/SOUND";". To make KLMUS always ask
like it used to, do OUTSPEC←""; (which says there is no default). You
can still specify a destination in the PLAY statement, such as
PLAY DAC:1.0; SIMP 0 1 440 1000 F1; FINISH; which outputs a 1 second
440 Hz note.
KLMUS seems to work reliably, but produces slightly different results on
account of the difference in the behaviour of the KL10 fix instructions.
Everyone should now use KLMUS, as older versions run intolerably slow.
